A Rare Gothic Brass Candlestick
The tapering nozzle, decorated with ring-turnings above a stem with a pronounced centre swelling, between two discoid rings, sat on a base with a flared foot and upturned edge to facilitate the collection of used wax.
Flemish, circa 1500.
